Desert Ironwood

An unusual tree that is not very commonly known to us is the desert ironwood. True to its name, the desert ironwood grows in the Sonoroan Desert, which is located in southwestern Arizona, southern California, and the northwestern part of Mexico. Even though the Sonoran Desert is mostly devoid of plant life, except for shrubs, the desert ironwood is able to grow.

Lupine

To me one of the most beautiful and most unusual flowers that I have seen are Lupins. It is a beautiful thing to drive by a field that has nothing but purple colors from these flowers. They are unusual and I have only seen them up north.

Aloe Vera

The medicinal properties of Aloe vera have been known, and recorded since anyone can remember. It has been used for a variety of ailments, and as an ointment for burns, cuts, and rashes, as well as an ingredient in various beauty preparations. One of the most common uses that we can remember using aloe is when we were children and we somehow kept falling into those poison ivy plants. Aloe releives the itching and the rashes that is caused by the poison ivy effectively.

Oak Trees

Oak trees are a type of deciduous tree. That are well known and almost everywhere. These are broad-leaved trees that shed all their leaves during one season. Forests which are primarily composed of deciduous trees are called deciduous forests. The oak tree is a member of the Beech family and its scientific name is Quercus or Lithocarpus. The best type of soil for a healthy and nutritious growth of deciduous trees is referred to as podzol.
